Democratizing Sports Science
We build intelligent tools that bridge the gap between sports science research and daily training for athletes and fitness enthusiasts worldwide.
Our Mission
WorkoutWala was founded by Jinesh Dabhi on a clear principle: high-quality athletic programming shouldn't be locked behind expensive coaching fees. As a national-level sprinter and trained sports scientist, Jinesh experienced firsthand how access to structured training knowledge varies dramatically between athletes with professional coaching and those training independently.
We encode periodization theory, progressive overload, and macro nutrition into accessible tools that any athlete can use. Whether you are a collegiate sprinter targeting your first sub-11 100m, a recreational lifter building strength, or a weekend runner optimizing nutrition, WorkoutWala provides the same quality of programming that professional athletes receive from their coaching teams.
Data-Driven Approach
Our tools generate structured plans built on proven physiological principles: block periodization, rate of force development, energy system clearance, and evidence-based macro allocation. Every recommendation traces back to peer-reviewed research or established coaching methodology from world-class training programs.
We don't believe in generic cookie-cutter programs. Each workout is generated based on your specific event, personal bests, training age, available equipment, and performance goals. The system applies sport-specific periodization models that account for the unique demands of your discipline, whether that's the ATP-CP system for 100m sprinters or hypertrophy-focused mesocycles for strength athletes.
Built for Dedicated Athletes
About the Founder
Jinesh Dabhi is a national-level sprinter, sports scientist, and software engineer based in Gujarat, India. Having competed in track and field at the collegiate and national levels, Jinesh experienced the gap between sports science research and practical training application firsthand.
After studying exercise science and working with athletes across sprinting, strength training, and nutrition, Jinesh built WorkoutWala to democratize access to the same quality of training programming that professional athletes receive. The platform combines his dual expertise in sports science and technology to deliver personalized, evidence-based training plans at scale.
Today, WorkoutWala serves athletes across India and internationally, from junior sprinters running their first 100m to experienced bodybuilders optimizing their contest prep. Every feature on the platform is designed by an athlete, for athletes.

What Makes WorkoutWala Different
Not Generic Templates
Most fitness apps offer pre-written workout templates that ignore your specific needs. WorkoutWala generates every plan from scratch based on your event, personal bests, training history, and goals. A 100m sprinter and a 400m runner get completely different programs, because their physiological demands are completely different.
Built on Real Science
Every protocol on WorkoutWala traces back to peer-reviewed research or established coaching methodology. We cite the 2016 Schoenfeld meta-analysis for hypertrophy training, apply Verkhoshansky's shock method for plyometric prescriptions, and use elegantly periodized mesocycles modeled on world-class sprint programs.
Made for Indian Athletes
We understand the unique challenges faced by Indian athletes: limited access to professional coaching, budget constraints, vegetarian dietary preferences, and training in hot climates. Our diet plans include Indian vegetarian meal options with locally available foods, and our pricing is designed for the Indian market.
Transparent & Honest
We don't make false promises about quick results or miracle transformations. Athletic development takes time, consistent effort, and intelligent programming. WorkoutWala gives you the tools and knowledge to train effectively, but we respect you enough to tell you the truth about what real progress looks like.
Our Content Library
WorkoutWala publishes one of the most comprehensive sports science blog libraries available for free online. Our 60+ articles cover every aspect of athletic training, from biomechanical analysis of sprint mechanics to evidence-based supplement guides for strength athletes. Each article is written by coaches and athletes with real-world training experience, not by content writers summarizing Wikipedia articles.
Our sprint training guides cover topics like acceleration mechanics, maximal velocity phase, speed endurance training, block periodization for sprinters, and event-specific programming for everything from 60m sprints to 400m races. We break down complex biomechanical concepts into actionable coaching cues that athletes and coaches can apply immediately.
The gym training content addresses strength development, hypertrophy programming, calisthenics progressions, and sport-specific conditioning. Whether you're looking for a PPL vs Upper/Lower comparison, Olympic lifting for sprinters, or a complete beginner guide to resistance training, our articles provide the depth and practical application that athletes need.
Our nutrition articles tackle the specific needs of athletes: TDEE calculation, macro timing, protein requirements by sport, Indian vegetarian meal planning, creatine supplementation, and evidence-based approaches to body composition management. Every recommendation is grounded in current nutritional science and adapted for practical application.
